Our first glamping cabin, "Clark's Cabin," was purchased by our good friend Clark and his wife, Marlene as a getaway for peace and quiet and to gather with their families. They loved their camp and we visited them often to trail ride and share a meal. Clark passed away very recently and we were given the opportunity to buy back the property that our co-founder had sold them years ago, along with the cabin. We were determined to bring Clark's Cabin back to life as a gathering place for couples and solo travelers to reconnect with nature and themselves. As we continue to develop the property and our adjacent lands, we hope that we can truly honor Clark's legacy by creating another special retreat at the edge of Kisatchie National Forest.
Trail riding with Clark many years ago! We have trails on our adjacent 300-acre property and you are close to Kisatchie trails as well. Guides available.
We have a variety of trails for all levels of hikers. From easy and scenic routes to challenging hilly treks, our site has everything you need to plan your next glamping adventure. Our guidebook has details on Kisatchie trail systems and we can connect you with a local hiking group to help guide you if you'd like.
Short or mid-term stays are welcome as we continue to develop our paddocks and shelters so you can glamp with your horse. We have private boarding available on our property just up the road as well if you need a covered round pen to work your horse while you are here.
We are uniquely located amid Kisatchie and within a few minutes of Camp Claiborne, which is full of Army ruins and caches to discover. We would be happy to share our favorite spots to explore on your next glamping weekend.
Jeeps, Bikers and Enduro racers are most welcome. We are just a few minutes from the National Enduro Race trails and we can accommodate additional campers with RVs when the whole property is reserved. Mountain bikers will also find challenging trails within riding distance.
We are within 15 minutes of Indian Creek Reservoir in Woodworth and also convenient to Lake Valentine, Lake Kincaid and Cocodrie Swamp. As boaters and jet ski enthusiasts, we are happy to share our favorite spots for fun and we can also tell you about canoeing and kayaking in the area.
